Terms and Conditions

The terms for using PayOps Kit: its tool pages, its REST API and its MCP server.

Last updated October 29, 2026

1. Informational tools, no warranty

PayOps Kit (“the Service”) is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind. Its results — check digits, formats, banking days, settlement dates, deadlines and code descriptions — are informational. The owner does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any result and expressly disclaims all liability for how users choose to use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for your use of the Service and for any decision made, or payment sent, on the basis of its results.

2. Not a substitute for the rules, the standards or your bank

The Service applies published rules and standards, but it does not replace them. In particular, it is not a substitute for the Nacha Operating Rules, the Federal Reserve’s or any other ACH operator’s schedules, the SWIFT IBAN Registry and ISO 9362, the ISO 20022, ISO 4217, ISO 6166 and ISO 17442 standards, or the agreements you have with your bank, which may set earlier cut-off times or stricter requirements. A valid check digit means a number is well formed, not that an account or instrument exists. Holidays declared at short notice cannot be predicted.

3. No professional advice

The information provided by the Service is for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as professional financial, banking, or legal advice. Users should consult with qualified professionals before making any financial, banking, or business decisions based on information obtained from the Service.

4. The REST API and MCP server

The REST API and the MCP server are free and need no key. Use them fairly: each visitor may make about 120 requests a minute, larger bodies are refused, and the owner may change limits, change or retire endpoints, or block abusive traffic at any time without notice. Do not use the Service to send data you are not allowed to share, and do not send live payment card numbers.

5. Security and privacy

Tool pages compute their results in your browser; the REST API and MCP server process each request in memory and never store or log its inputs. The Service is hosted on Cloudflare and keeps anonymous usage counters (for example, how many times a tool was used). Donations are processed by Stripe: your payment details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. The privacy page describes exactly what is collected. The owner does not accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption, or damage to your data or computer system that may occur while using the Service.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the owner, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, that result from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the owner assumes no liability or responsibility for any:

  • Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in content;
  • Personal injury or property damage resulting from your access to or use of the Service;
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein;
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service;
  • Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through the Service;
  • Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Service.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the owner, its officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Service.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

By using this Service, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms and Conditions, understand them, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
